Paperless

This is a paperless wedding. That means all of our save the dates, invitations, and thank-you notes are being delivered digitally. These small choices have helped us to enjoy a more eco-friendly wedding and save the trees. Thank you for your support and understanding!

(In order to make up for the lack of paper invitations, Jacob spent more time than he’d care to admit making this website.)

Gifts

The presence of our friends and family is the greatest gift of all.

However, if it is your wish to bless us with a gift, we would greatly appreciate a monetary contribution to our future together, or you can surprise us in your own special way!

Our Story

Rachelle and Jacob met through their friends in common, mainly Simon who will be our Officiant, and although they heard a lot about each other for a few years, their paths did not cross until the time was perfect. Sparks flew and the tension was palpable as Rachelle crushed Jacob's ego in Mario Kart and it was all over from that point. Destiny had struck!

When the world was on hold we quickly insured that we were compatible and built to last by living together under the same roof for what was supposed to be "a short two week period". With that certainty, we navigated the ups and downs of life and built towards our dreams and adventures.

Not too long ago, we set off on a long road trip with our two dogs, we already knew that we were strong together but this all but guaranteed it. We are excited for the next adventures of life together!

The view of Chenanceau Castle on the day we got engaged.

The Proposal

Jacob brought the engagement ring to France where we were visiting to see Rachelle's family and to watch the Olympics. With some time before the events we did a small tour vising Belgium, England, Ireland and the Chateaux de la Loire in France. After this beautiful day visiting the Chenanceau Castle, Jacob proposed in the gardens of an old monastary, and Rachelle said yes! We celebrated at dinner with Rachelle's family and are looking forward to celebrating with all of you!
